Vanessa Adams-Harris, a Muscogee (Creek) American Indian with African American and European ancestry, is an artist, producer, director, documentary filmmaker, playwright, and human rights activist. She serves as Outreach Alliances Director for The John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation, Vice-Chair of the Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commission, and President of the North Tulsa Historical Society. She presents nationally and internationally on Oklahoma history, race, and reconciliation.

She has addressed thousands of students and civic groups, including as a featured presenter for Jack and Jill of America’s Black Wall Street Event and the University of Tulsa. She co-presented at the 2018 Women Are Sacred Conference and trained globally in peacebuilding, including with Initiatives of Change in Switzerland and Father Michael Lapsley’s Institute for Healing Memories. Her work emphasizes historical accuracy in African American and Indigenous narratives, fostering reconciliation and lasting peace.
