For You
Youth dancer, Sari Hicks, is inspired to create beauty through dance.

Sarai Hicks is a dynamic and versatile dancer who has been moving with purpose and passion since the age of five. Trained across a wide range of styles—including Flamenco, tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and African dance—she brings both technical precision and expressive depth to every performance.

For the past three years, Sarai has been a member of the ensemble in Debbie Allen’s acclaimed Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, where she has continued to refine her artistry under world‑class direction and alongside talented performers from across the country.

Her commitment and confidence earned her the distinguished title of Queen of the Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant in 2022, a role that reflects not only her poise and talent but also her leadership and pride in her heritage. As queen, Sarai represents the strength, brilliance, and creativity of young African American girls, using her platform to uplift others and embody the values of education, self-respect, and cultural pride.

In 2026, Sarai will take the next major step in her dance journey as she joins the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater’s Professional Division Intensive Study Program for the summer. This opportunity places her among some of the most promising young dancers in the nation and reflects her dedication, discipline, and growing artistic voice.

For Sarai, dance is more than movement—it is expression, storytelling, and connection. Whether on stage or in the studio, she approaches her craft with heart, curiosity, and a deep love for the art form that has shaped her life.
