Valoneecia Tolbert recently made her Atlanta Directorial debut with this Robert King Jr’s “ The Voices of Donny Hathaway”.
An award-winning artist with an extensive background in theatre, voice-over, film, dance, and writing, you may recognize her voice from the DC Universe Online (DCUO) Games as Nu’bia, Dr. Sarah Chandler, or Grail or Wizard 101 as Lizzo Spitfire. Some highlights are her performance as Actor #6 in the Austin Critics Table Award Recipient, We Are Proud…by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Liz Fisher.
Other notable theatre roles include Lisa B. Thompson’s Single Black Female, Lisa B. Thompson’s world premiere of The Mamalogues at The VORTEX; Hellena in Hidden Room’s The Rover, directed by Beth Burns & Marianne Angel in Shrewd Productions’ The Revolutionists, directed by Rudy Ramirez.A graduate of Texas State University’s BFA program, she is represented by Collier.
