A poet’s exploration of her life’s journey honoring family legacy, standing firmly in the present and envisioning the future.

Sharon Nyree Williams is an EMMY Award-winning and Silver Telly Award-winning voiceover artist, storyteller, producer, performer, and professor. She believes in the transformative power of storytelling to connect, inspire, and strengthen communities. Sharon’s most recent performance, An Evening with Sharon Nyree Williams: LEGACY, was held at Benaroya Hall in Seattle as part of the Seattle Symphony’s Community Stages Fund.
She has shared her stories at schools such as Seattle University, Cornish College of the Arts, North Seattle College and UC Santa Cruz, at events like the Womxn’s March Seattle, and at festivals including the LA Women’s Theatre Festival, United Solo Fest, Wilmington Fringe Festival, and Whitefire Theatre’s Solofest and Black Voices.
Sharon is the creator of three poetry and storytelling albums—SHOOK, Humanity, and The Consciousness of Love—as well as the book Dare to Claim the Sky. Her work continues to captivate audiences and spark meaningful conversations worldwide.
