6 Million Jews Didn’t Die for You…
A dancer finds oneself amidst the burden and ancestral trauma of the Holocaust.

Jana Krumholtz is a Jewish artist who lives and creates in LA and NYC. She graduated from NYU with an Economics Degree, a minor in Pre-Business, and a Concentration in Non-Profit Management. Upon graduation, she chose to follow her lifelong dream of being a dancer. She trained at Alvin Ailey as well as amongst the leading commercial choreographers in NYC at the time. Her career began as she danced alongside OMI on America’s Got Talent, The Rolling Stones for their 50th Anniversary Concert, on SNL alongside Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Banks, with Nick Jonas on the VMAs, alongside Kevin Bacon on the Jimmy Fallon Show and many more.

The highlight of her dance career has been as a series dancer on Lip Sync Battle for 5 seasons, where she had the opportunity to work closely with LLCoolJ, and dance with Beyonce, JLo, Channing Tatum, and many more. Her most recent credit includes dancing with Billie Eilish at COACHELLA 2022.

While living in LA, Jana began to expand her creative aspirations into acting, writing, producing, and coaching movement. Appearing in many short films and commercial spots, Jana discovered a new passion for storytelling. The first piece she wrote, directed, and performed was in the Fringe in 2019 as a part of the show ‘Chrysalis,’ which won the ENCORE Award. This experience inspired Jana to create her one-woman show, which premiered this past summer at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

In the past few years, Jana has also expanded her connection to movement. She coaches actors and dancers in an energetic explorative way, with the purpose of finding authenticity, moving from the inside out. She created her program called Return to Dance (returntodance.org). As a choreographer, Jana’s credits include “Bedroom Eyes,” a Music Video by The Knocks, “Look at Me Now,” a Music Video by Kathleen Monteleone, and a commercial for Rise Together LA featuring a dance battle all in an attempt to bring awareness to aiding homelessness in LA.

Jana is here to love, create, and inspire authenticity. BE WHO YOU ARE.
