The Connie Converse Universe is the true story, music, & mystery of our first female modern day folk singer-songwriter from the 1950s who mysteriously disappeared in 1974 leaving her original song demos behind and performed acoustically by songstress, Hope Levy.
As a child Hope recorded with legendary Malvina Reynolds (Little Boxes, Magic Penny) & her own 45-record titled “Hope and Her Friends.” L.A. prods.: “Les Misérables,” Shubert Theatre, “Rocky Horror Show,” Tiffany Theatres (w/ David Arquette), Paul Bartel’s “Eating Raoul, The Musical,” dir. by Tony Award winner Scott Wittman, Odyssey Theatres, Justin Tanner’s “Heartbreak Help,” Cast Theatre, & a solo in “SHOWBOAT,” Hollywood Bowl. As a VO actress, Hope plays the “Mom” in “Boss Baby: Back in Business” on Netflix & “Rebecca Chambers” in the iconic game “RESIDENT EVIL: BIOHAZARD.” She Sings in James Cameron’s “AVATAR” as well as “Welcome to Duloc” in DreamWorks “SHREK.” In 2024 Hope debuted “The Connie Converse Universe” at Hollywood Fringe, won the “Outstanding Musical” award at San Diego Fringe, made her NYC debut at “Don’t Tell Mama,” & showcased at Chicago’s “Farm Folk Alliance.” Find Hope on Spotify & ConnieConverseUniverse.com.
