
Caroline Hawthorne

“THE IPHONE ARIAS”
This mezzo-soprano singer recounts her chaotic relationship through a cell phone.
Caroline Hawthorne (She/Her) is a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Los Angeles, CA. Her first solo show “The Slutty Virgin”, premiered at the Playground Solo Festival in San Francisco. She was also a Steel City Arts Foundation Grantee for musical comedy, and was the company composer for the 24 Hour Play Nationals in 2022. Last fall, she was the composer/performer for Wendy Biller’s “Beatrice” at The Cell Theatre Off-Broadway. She was a media fellow for Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media, where she created the web series “Babushka and Billie”, and was also an acting apprentice at The Commonweal Theatre Company. Her writing has been featured with The Nordly, as well as The BroadwayBeat. Other performance credits include College Light Opera Company (“Trial by Jury”, “HMS Pinafore”, “Yeoman of the Guard”), and Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre (“The Sound of Music”). Her newest work “The iPhone Arias”
premiered as a part of The Tank NYC’s Moonlight Series, and was recently revived at the University Settlement Performance Project. She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University and Los Angeles County High School of the Arts. http://www.carolinehawthorne.com
