Alice Manning
SUNDAY, MARCH 30TH, 7pm—“FAMILY PORTRAITS”
“MANNING’S MADHOUSE”
Alice weaves both hilarious and traumatic memories of her family with two parents
and 9 children living in 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms on Allison Road in Cleveland,
Ohio.
Alice starred in the National Tour of the one-person show, “Family Secrets,” the longest
running solo show in Off Broadway history. She taught acting at Harvard and has toured
Europe with the USO and the United States and Canada with the National Players Shakespeare Company. Alice has worked at The American Repertory Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company, as well as many theatres in NYC and LA.
Alice has been writing, producing, and performing autobiographical solo shows for 25
years. Her intention in her writing and performing is to “take the audience on a cathartic
roller coaster ride and send them out the other side laughing.”
Alice’s solo shows include “The Potato Wars,” “The Mommy Opera,” “Stronger Than the
Wind,” “Lifers,” and “Manning’s Madhouse.”
Alice has four children and in her spare time, facilitates large psychology workshops
