Dawn Didawick, Eternity Award

Our 2025 Eternity Award recipient is often described as a “veteran Actor with good reason. Since the mid-sixties her body of work has included everything from children’s theater tours to schools and mental facilities to making films for the USIA. Her career began in Washington D.C. where she appeared in plays by Beckett, Pinter, Williams and Chekov. Dawn’s theatre credits range from Broadway in the Tony Award winning revival of ALL MY SONS starring Richard Kiley, many off Broadway productions such as Marsha Norman’s TRUDY BLUE and THE LAUNDROMAT, to an acclaimed production of THE TEMPEST, adapted and directed by Teller and Aaron Posner, where she played “Gonzala” .Yes, Shakespeare sold out in Vegas at The Smith Arts Center and in Cambridge at the American Repertory Theatre. She has appeared in leading roles in both the classics and new works at prominent regional theaters and stock companies in America, Canada and even Athens, Greece including SOUTHCOAST, SEATTLE AND ST. LOUIS REPERTORY THEATRES, ACTOR’S THEATER OF LOUSIVILLE, GLOBE THEATER IN SAN DIEGO, LONGWHARF THEATER, HARTFORD STAGE, ALABAMA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL,SHERWOOD SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL and COCONUT GROVE where she appeared in CAUGHT IN THE NET with the late Tony Randall. Tours include CRIMES OF THE HEART, ALL MY SONS and SCAPINO. Los Angeles audiences know Dawn from many productions with The Antaeus Company where credits include “Big Mama” in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF(Stage Raw Award Best Supporting Actress), Patrick Marber’s THREE DAY IN THE COUNTRY, UNCLE VANYA, THE CRUCIBLE, THE SEAGULL, THE AUTUMN GARDEN, PERA PELAS(co-production with the Boston Court), THE BEAR(CHEKHOV X 4), THE MAN WHO HAD ALL THE LUCK as well as many Classics Fests, including GLASS MENAGERIE where she played Amanda. Dawn Didawick has been a friend of LAWTF since appearing in ERIN BROCKOVICH with Julia Roberts, Albert Finney and Adilah Barnes, to name a few of the amazing cast directed by Stephen Soderbergh. Other film credits include THE AMATEURS starring Jeff Bridges, CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS with Jamie Lee Curtis, DANCE WITH ME with Vanessa Williams, BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS starring Bruce Willis and as Sharon in I AM I currently on Netflix. She can be seen as “Sweetie Pie” with her husband of forty-six years, Harry Groener as “Hap” in DIANI AND DEVINE MEET THE APOCALYPSE. Currently they are the voices in the minds of the lead actors in the world wide award winning film A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD starring Juliet Landau. Other indies include THE SELLING, BEAUTIFUL NOW and BREAD AND BUTTER. Dawn’s long haul artistic life has given her the opportunity to work with and learn from many of the best actors, directors, artists and technical staff in all areas of the business including theater, film, T.V. and commercials. She pursued her passion for the development of new works for many years with The Colony in Missoula, Montana and The Gathering in Big Fork as well as her commitment to the classics by serving multiple years on The Board of The Antaeus Company, where she is an original member.
