With winter ❄️ truly underway, this #MotivationalM With winter ❄️ truly underway, this #MotivationalMonday candidate has a grounding energy, perfect for the long nights ahead. Florence Pugh has taken the film industry by storm, and at just 29, we know there’s only more greatness to come. ✨🎥 Born in Oxford in 1996, Florence Pugh was an Oscar nominee at 24. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2020 for her role in Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women,” but already had an impressive list of credits. She debuted in 2014’s “The Falling”, where she appeared alongside fellow Brit and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams. Just 2 years later, Florence appeared in what many consider her breakthrough role, as the lead in “Lady Macbeth” In recent years, Florence has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portraying Yelena Belova – the dry, quick-witted adopted sister of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanov). Even in the world of gods and superheroes, Pugh has maintained her beautifully nuanced approach to her characters and quickly risen to the status of fan favorite within that universe. Regardless of the role, Florence Pugh has built an outstanding career through her dedication to depicting the complexity of her characters and her authentic emotional depth, captivating her audiences. She has shared the screen in profoundly moving projects with talents such as Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, Meryl Streep, and Andrew Garfield, and has more than held her own alongside these industry legends. While she is somewhat of a chameleon onscreen, Florence is known for remaining fiercely loyal to her principles and the causes she champions. Through honest, open expression, Florence has spoken out about body image issues and autonomy in the industry. She has been candid about her own experiences and offered hope to others by being open and vulnerable about her own issues related to mental health. Whether acting on screen, supporting from behind the camera, or staying true to her own values, Florence Pugh is a force to be reckoned with. Her strength and assured sense of storytelling are qualities we at #LAWTF are inspired to share with everyone we work with. 💫🎬❄️🎭 #womeninthearts #inspiringwomen
