This is the story of a woman who had more than 30 jobs in 30 years before finally doing what everyone said she couldn't.


Heather Dowling is an actress and writer, who has impersonated someone who wanted a "real job" since the age of 14. Her first self-written, self-produced show, "Unemployed. Finally." premiered in the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival with  6 sold-out performances. Heather took home the Encore Producers' Award and was nominated for Best Solo-Performance - out of more than 80 solo-shows. In Fall 2016, Heather was asked to bring "Unemployed. Finally"to 42nd Street, New York City for United Solo, the largest solo festival in the world."Unemployed. Finally."was also a part of Whitefire Theatre'sSolofest, Cake Batter's Funny Women Festival at iO West, and the Spotlight Series at Theatre Unleashed in North Hollywood. Published playwright and recipient of Best National Solo Artist Award, Jessica Lynn Johnson directed "Unemployed. Finally." and guided every aspect of the productions design.
